Chiang Mai Information
Go on a safari
Chiang Mai Night Safari Park offers a very interesting and a wild adventure. There are plenty of activities designed to entertain you throughout your visit like petting tiger cubs, laser light show, dancing fountain, and of course feeding the animals. There are 3 zones at the park, two of them are accessible via open-sided safari trams and the other one is accessible by foot! You can wander around at your own pace.
Go to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary
This sanctuary is practically a home for retired elephants which have been working with tourism industries and unpleasant logging. It forbids any circus tricks, gimmicks, and elephant riding as this can be very harmful to their weak backs and it leaves them in pain. The sanctuary offers tours that include playing with the elephants, feeding them, a bath in the river and a mud spa!
Visit the old city temples
The old city of Chiang Mai is basically a living museum. The streets are lined with old shophouses, historical buildings, and amazing temples surrounded by ancient walls. The city is small so you can easily get around it on foot and trust me strolling around the city on foot is an adventure itself, you’ll get soaked up by the history and the ancient buildings.
Doi Inthanon National Park
This National park is a true gem, it consists of mountainous terrain blanketed by mesmerizing tropical forests, filled with mighty rivers, and breathtaking waterfalls. The park is also a sanctuary for different animal species along with around 360 bird species. It rises up to 8,415 ft above sea level and you will see some places for drinking and eating around the park.
