Chumphon Information

Chumphon Town is the capital of the Chumphon Province, located in southern Thailand. The city offers plenty of sightseeing, fishing, yachting, swimming, and sunbathing on one of its beaches. The province itself has numerous waterfalls, caves, national parks, and tropical islands. The province is also known as a jumping off point to Koh Tao.

    There are plenty of caves in Chumphon Province and its nearby destinations. There are some that are already discovered and some still hidden somewhere if you discovered a new cave they will let you name it! How exciting is this? You will have to use ropes to climb rocks or scramble over boulders to get to some of them but it totally worth it.

  • Krom Luang Chumphon Khet Udomsak

    This is an authentic royal palace that has a shrine and a great view of Sai Ree beach. locals usually visit the temple to light firecrackers and to pay their respects. The palace is full of so much history and the beautiful culture of Thailand. This place has a lot to offer along with numerous seaside food stalls just near the temple.

    Thung Wua Laen Beach is one of the best destinations and beaches to visit in Chumphon. You will find it in Pathio district away from the crowd and the busy life of the city.     Wat Phra That is a Buddhist temple that was built during the Ayutthaya period. This temple has excellent reviews and anyone who visit the “Wat” say that it was a beautiful and mystical experience. You get to dive into the local’s traditions inside the temple and just outside you will get to taste the beautiful local Thai cuisine.
